REPORT FROM THE MEETING "MODERN IT INFRASTRUCTURE IN TIMES OF UNCERTAINTY - INNOVATION, SECURITY, EFFICIENCY - LOOKING INTO THE FUTURE WITH HUAWEI" - POZNAŃ CONCORDIA DESIGN - MAY 22, 2025

On Thursday, May 22nd at Concordia Design, we had the pleasure of presenting Huawei Enterprise technologies to our guests. In today's polarized world, in a situation of retreat from globalized supply chains, it is important to diversify suppliers and build your own digital sovereignty. We proposed Huawei products as one of the elements of an alternative to American technologies, without which, let's be honest, a modern company cannot function.

The meeting was divided into three modules.

More about UpGreat and the challenges for IT in times of deglobalization

The meeting began with a short presentation of the UpGreat Systemy Komputerowe company, present on the IT solutions market until 1990. The President of the Management Board of UpGreat Systemy Komputerowe, Piotr Flis, briefly described the company's history, presented its offer and its Customers and technology partners, among whom Huawei Enterprise recently appeared alongside the well-known companies Cisco, HPE, Fortinet, Microsoft, Netapp and others.

In the second part of his presentation, Piotr Flis presented a cross-section of national interests and strategic goals of the Republic of Poland, talked about the Thucydides trap and the business model of American big-techs, and about the theft of private data by states and technology companies. There was also hard data comparing the economies of the US and China, business development models of companies in both countries, R&D expenditures and deindustrialization of the American economy.

JWhat storage solutions does Huawei provide? So what are OceanStore Dorado and OceanProtect?

In this part of the meeting, Konrad Tutak from Huawei told the audience about Huawei's legacy platforms – the all-flash OceanStor Dorado and the hybrid OceanStor, as well as the OceanStor Protect backup platforms. Sales of all-flash storage put Huawei in second place in the world (19.0%) just behind Dell/EMC (20.5%).

What is Huawei's networking product offering?

In this part of the seminar, Arkadiusz Giedrojć introduced issues related to wired and wireless networks. Huawei offers a full portfolio of efficient backbone, aggregation and access switches with interfaces from 1Gb/s to even 400Gb/s. In addition, there is a rich family of routers and solutions for SD-WAN networks. The offer also includes ultra-fast access points compliant with the WiFi-7 standard.

We manage the network infrastructure using the Huawei iMaster NCE software package, which enables full control, configuration and troubleshooting of the network. An innovative approach to management is offered by Huawei netMaster – an advanced network management platform based on a large language model (LLM), designed to increase the efficiency of network operations and maintenance (O&M) through the use of artificial intelligence. Thanks to the use of the language model (DeepSeek LLM), the operator can generate new network configurations and optimize them in seconds. Asking a question about network problems immediately provides a diagnosis and a proposed solution.
